Casey, after arriving back to her hotel from the corner deli, decided to relax out by the pool. She carried the latest novel she was reading and settled down cozily into the lounger. The week-long seminar that had brought her to the coast had been in session for just a brief period today and Casey was glad for the chance to have some time to herself.
Casey was 36 and unattached. Had been for a long time. She had reddish-blonde hair and green eyes. She wasn't petite by any measure of the word, but she carried her extra weight well. However, being just under 6 feet tall, had always been a hindrance because men seemed quite intimidated with her stature.
Needless to say, Casey hadn't been in a lot of relationships. She had always been told she was beautiful but she had always felt as if she didn't quite fit in and it showed in her shy nature and introverted persona.
She had just about dozed off when she heard her phone ringing in her beach bag. It was her 9-year old daughter calling to let her know she had arrived home from school. Casey's children lived during their school year with their father in Texas whom Casey had divorced two years previously after 10 years of marriage. The split from Ann and Dillon's father hadn't been a complete shock but was still a factor in lowering Casey's self-esteem even further. She was very blessed that the marriage wasn't a complete failure because it produced two of the most beautiful children in the world.
Dillon at 11 years old is quite a gentleman and though he gets a lot of his quiet personality from Casey, he never fails to make her laugh at just the right moment. His red hair and freckles make him even more so handsome and adorable and add to his budding charm.
Ann who though only 9 years old, is exquisitely beautiful. Her long reddish-blonde hair creeps down her shoulders and her blue eyes sparkle every time she speaks. Since birth she had always woke up with a smile on her face and she never seems to fail at passing her vivacious personality on to everyone that is around her.
The situation of them going to school in Texas had been a mutual decision by both Casey and the children's father even though Casey was tormented by not having her children by her side at all times. Summer vacation and holidays seemed not enough time to spend with them, but the children were remarkably adaptable and were making great progress in the way their lives were going.
After a brief chat with Ann, Casey hung up her cell phone and put it back into her bag. As she browsed through the novel she had brought, a small card fell out and she had suddenly been reminded of the man in the restaurant who had given it to her.
"Why would a stranger give me his business card" she thought. She picked it up and looked at the card and saw his name, "Jordan Hunter" embossed in silver letters across the card. A phone number was written on it along with his business name Coastline Soul and an address.
Casey was amused as she wondered exactly what this Jordan Hunter would actually say if she had the nerve to call him and introduce herself to him on the phone.
"Oh lord, why would I even bother?" "He certainly must have me mistaken me for someone else."
She wondered exactly what Coastline Soul was and figured it must be some sort of Advertising company. Thoughts drifted back to the deli where she had first laid eyes upon him and a smile brushed across her face as she thought of how very charming he seemed to be when her purse had landed on his lap as she had passed by him.
Casey put the business card back into her book as a marker to where she had left off reading and laid back against the lounger.
"Coastline Soul....She whispered quietly in her mind, as she drifted back to sleep.
