Once upon a time...

Once upon a time there was a girl who believed in love. She believed that when she grew up she would meet her Prince Charming and they would live happily ever after.

When the fairytale that the girl once believed in and had actually lived for a short while shattered, and her Prince Charming went away forever, the girl decided to find herself and happiness once again.

She had grown up very close to the ocean and had moved away when she became a woman. She missed the sea very much and decided she would visit, so she went to the nearest beach she could find. When she first arrived, there had been a terrible storm and she had to stay indoors for the first couple of days. On the third day the skies cleared and the young girl went for a stroll along the ocean front.

She didn't see many people as it was not quite the season for tourists to be crowding the shore. However, there was one man sitting alone on the sand a few feet away from where the waves were meeting the surf and as the girl walked closer she heard him crying softly.

"Oh, I am so sorry I did not mean to bother you" she said. The man looked up noticing the young girl and replied, "Just go away! Leave me alone and forget about me"!

The girl not one to run away when someone might need her, replied to the sad man "Is there anything I can do to help you feel happiness again?" The man looked up at her briefly and she saw a sadness illuminating across his face that she too had known before.

The man covered his face with his hands never uttering another word. The girl walked away, brokenhearted with tears brimming from her eyes wishing he would have talked to her.

Though she visited the ocean many more times after that, she never saw the man again. The girl had many dreams over the course of her lifetime and in her dreams, the same scene took place.

She saw the man as he was that very first day, a very handsome man, but in her dreams he was happy, and they were sitting together on the beach holding hands as they spoke to one another and she would always whisper that she would forever be with him to listen to him, to try to always make him happy and smiling, and love him forever. THE END...
