Let's Get It On...

As she knocked on Gabriel's apartment door Shane could feel her body twitching from nervousness.

"Girl get a hold of yourself" she thought.

She shook her head fussing with her hair a bit and then squeezed her fists open and closed a couple of times trying to relax.

Even though they had been on at least a dozen dates before, actually being at his apartment for more than a quick pick up or drop off was a new experience for Shane. She had often wondered about the place Gabriel called home and was glad she would now get to see how he lived.

After a few seconds the door opened and there stood Gabriel smiling, looking totally relaxed and welcoming her in.

Once behind the closed door he leaned over to kiss her. His kiss was very sensual and an obvious prelude to what she could expect for the night.

Shane couldn't help but notice how wonderfully sexy he looked in his dark khaki pleated slacks and royal blue button-down longed sleeve shirt. She decided right then and there that royal blue was definitely his color. He looked fabulous and she told him so. He complimented her as well in her blue jeans and white sweater blouse and made an animated gesture with his arms to the heavens about what a gorgeous woman he had.

As he ushered her into his apartment, Shane could not believe that two bachelors would keep an apartment looking so cozy and neat and as she looked around, she could see how much extra effort Gabriel had obviously put forth to make the place so comfortable.

There was a white soft leather sofa, matching love seat and chair, two end tables and a coffee table black marbled with brass lamps on each end. Gabriel had put a bottle of wine to chill into an ice bucket on the coffee table. he had placed two wine glasses, dinner plates and silverware neatly on top of cloth napkins also on the coffee table.

When he noticed her looking at the dining set up he suddenly spoke up,

"I thought we would Indian style it on the floor around the coffee table if that's okay with you?"

"I thought it'd be more intimate and romantic." he smiled shyly.

"I like it alot Gabriel, everything looks so nice and I hate that you went to so much trouble for me." Shane replied.

"Are you crazy?" he said with the word crazy emphasizing his strong Italian accent.

I've been wanting to have you over for my steak for a while now."

"I mean not MY steak"

"I mean uhhh, you know beef steak" he said mumbling and turning red as he spoke.

Shane giggled uncontrollably when she saw how embarrassed Gabriel was becoming.

She swatted at him playfully and said, "I knew what you were trying to say."

They settled into a cozy dinner of steak and baked potatoes and salad. Gabriel fed Shane roasted peppers and avocado from his fork, she had never had either before and Shane admitted she loved them.

They chatted about many different topics and both were passionate in their respective debates over each subject. Between friendly arguments they kissed intimately and touched each other passionately.

As the conversation lulled and the bottle of wine was emptied, Shane got up from her spot on the floor where she was propped comfortably with pillows and carried the dishes to the sink.

After she and Gabriel straightened up from dinner she yawned and then announced to him how sleepy she was and that she couldn't seem to keep her eyes open any longer.

"I guess it was the wine." she confessed.

"It's been a long week for both of us Shane, why don't you stay here with me tonight, there's no use in your driving home being so tired" Gabriel replied.

"Are you sure sweetheart?" "I don't want to make it uncomfortable for you with your roommate." Shane said.

"Let me take care of that, it will be fine." he said as he took her hand and led her to his bedroom.

When they got to his bedroom Shane jolted out of her sleepiness realizing that she was actually in this man's bedroom. He had it nice and kept just like the rest of the apartment with a dark Burgundy comforter and artwork from his home country displayed proudly on the walls.

Shane laughed nervously as Gabrielle pushed her down onto the bed and fell on top of her. He kissed her deeply, their tongues meeting pleasurably. They ended a kiss and both smiled into each other's eyes.

Gabriel traced his fingers around Shane's lips and his eyes twinkled as he said, "Now what about that steak?"
